Halo Halo Sisters Print

Halo-halo is perhaps the most iconic Filipino dessert—and definitely one of the most colorful. I wanted to celebrate that vibrant energy through color in this piece. Each lady represents one of the dessert’s key flavors: ube, mango/langka, milk, and sweet beans. I imagined them circling and dancing atop shaved ice, symbolizing the “mix,” or the halo, of all these ingredients coming together in harmony.
