Ginataang Bilo Bilo Print
Ginataang Bilo-Bilo, meaning “sticky rice balls in coconut milk,” is one of my favorite Filipino desserts. Growing up in New Mexico, my mom would prepare this rich, comforting treat during cold, snowy winters. The dish traditionally combines glutinous rice balls, plantains, sweet potatoes, and tapioca pearls cooked in sweet coconut milk, with the optional addition of jackfruit to make it even more special. This dessert not only delights the senses but also evokes warmth, family, and cherished childhood memories.
